The intention of the AAI Awards is to encourage higher standards of architecture throughout the country, to recognise projects which make a contribution to Irish architecture, and to inform the public of emerging directions in contemporary architecture.
The AAI Awards are for built and unbuilt projects by all practitioners in Ireland and Irish practitioners abroad. Current buildings, landscape projects, infrastructure works and competition-winning projects, which are under development, under construction, or completed within 24 months prior to the submission deadline are eligible. Current projects, counter projects, and theoretical works are also eligible.
The jury for the 2018 Awards has yet to be confirmed.
Note: the AAI reserve the right to make changes to the jury should a juror become unavailable
Early Registration deadline (€90 per project): January 12th 2018, 24:00
Late Registration deadline (€125 per project): January 25th 2018, 18:00
Submission deadline: January 26th 2018, 18:00
NOTE: The AAI would like to bring to all applicants attention a change to the 2018 Entry Requirements. The descriptive text must now be incorporated into the panel layout: the option to lightly tape descriptive text to the back of the panel is no longer offered.
The AAI Awards are open only to AAI members holding an annual pass, and to AAI Friends.
Eligible entrants can register project(s) via the AAI website.
