Flores & Prats is an architecture studio based in Barcelona. Established in 1998 by Eva Prats and Ricardo Flores, it is dedicated to confronting theory and academic practice with design and construction activity. The studio has been involved in many different kinds of projects, often through open competition, these include residential and public buildings, public spaces, and exhibition design and site-specific installations for major cultural institutions and museums, including the Tàpies Foundation, Miró Foundation and the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona.
Eva Prats was born in Barcelona in 1965, and graduated in Architecture from ETSAB, School of Architecture of Barcelona, in 1992. She worked in the offices of Enric Miralles and Carme Pinos from 1986 to 1994. She obtained a first prize at Europan III 1993 which led her to found her own practice in 1994, later establishing Flores & Prats with Ricardo Flores in 1998. She has taught at ETSAB, School of Architecture of Barcelona, from 2002, among other academic postings, and is the author of several architectural essays including co-author with Ricardo Flores of the book John Hejduk: House for a Poet.
