A new book on an iconic district of Dublin to be launched today in Temple Bar. The book Temple Bar, A History by Maurice Curtis and published by the History Press, will be launched in the Gutter Bookshop, Cow’s Lane, Temple Bar Wednesday, 27 July at 6.30pm.
The book will be launched by Councillor Mary Freehill of Dublin City Council.
Dr Maurice Curtis is a graduate of UCD and is based in Dublin. He is an historian, writer and reviewer with a particular interest in Irish social history, including ideology, identity and change. He is the author of The Liberties. A History (2013) and To Hell or Monto (2015). With the publication of Temple Bar, A History, the Dublin Trilogy of books on the three most iconic districts of Dublin will be complete.
