Dublin PARK(ing) Day is back on Friday the 19th of September 2014 and is calling for all enthusiasts (individuals and organisations) to create pop up parks, installations, art pieces, giant games or performance around Dublin City.
PARK(ing) Day is an open source, global event which transforms on-street car parking spaces into public open spaces for one day. It aims to promote healthy cities by engaging with the public through temporary art. Consistently the cities with the most liveable streets are rated as the best cities to live and do business in. Good quality public spaces also make people healthier and happier. Dublin PARK(ing) Day event is supported by Dublin City Council and An Taisce, and partners include LeCool and Dublin Cycling Campaign.
In its fourth edition, Dublin is ranking in the top-20 PARK(ing) Day cities world-wide, with over 25 “Parks” in the city every year. See what happened last year below:
Time to get PARK(ing)! Please sign in before the 22nd of August at firstname.lastname@example.org.
