Open House is a design festival which runs in cities across the world, celebrating the best in architecture that each city has to offer. The weekend of Friday 30 September to Sunday 2 October 2016 will see the second Open House Cork festival, aiming to encourage architectural interest and awareness among the general public.
Open House Cork have launched an open call for building suggestions for inclusion in this year’s festival. If you own, manage or know of a building that you think would be suitable for inclusion in Open House Cork, please let them know at email@example.com.
You can also help in Cork’s celebration of buildings, places and neighbourhoods by becoming an Open House Cork volunteer. The OHC organisers are looking for great enthusiastic people to get involved to make the weekend fun and accessible to all, and to bring a unique, enriching experience to their audience. In recognition of your role, you’ll gain priority access to first-come-first-served building tours, and by attending our volunteer training session you’ll get a chance to meet other great people who share an interest in culture and the vitality of Cork City. OHC wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of volunteers, building owners and tour guides. As a thank you, everyone involved will be gathered together for a party on the Sunday evening. To enquire about becoming a volunteer, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or sign up here.
Keep an eye on the Open House Cork website in the coming weeks for further details of this year’s programme openhousecork.ie.
