Following on from last year’s successful ‘Regeneration -Beyond the Crisis’ conference the Dublin Institute of Technology is pleased to announce its second regeneration conference in early December. The conference is organised by the DIT School of Spatial Planning and Transport Engineering, in conjunction with the Institute of Economic Development (UK).
As construction activity increases this dynamic gathering will brings together experts in regeneration from Ireland and beyond to discuss cutting edge themes in urban renewal and development. It discusses the strands of economic investment, community involvement and design that underpin successful regeneration projects. It will focus on critical lessons from the recent past and potential mechanisms for future development.
Speakers include Brendan Kenny – Dublin City Council, Josephine Henry – Community Technical Aid, Terry Prendergast, Grangegorman Development Agency, Jeroen Laven of Stipo.nl Rotterdam, Jackie Bourke of Playtime.ie, Larry O’Connell, NESC and Gerard Mc Givern – Newry and Mourne District Council.
Cost for attendance is €45 waged / €15 unwaged. Cheques can be made payable to Dublin Institute of Technology, or cash payment can be made on the day. Continued Professional Development certification (3.5 hrs) is available on payment of €5 in addition to the attendance fee. Advance booking is essential as seating is limited.
