The programme, sponsored by the OPW, is designed for recent graduates with a recognised qualification in architecture, and is an opportunity to obtain practical work experience for three years to prepare for the Professional Practice Examinations.
The training scheme will have places with starting dates from Autumn 2017. The selection process will be shortlisting for competitive interview.
Architectural placements, in the Office of Public Works, Trim, Co. Meath or 52 St. Stephen’s Green Dublin 2 (or other OPW Offices as may be required) will be for 36 months only, at a salary of €30,000 per annum.
The Office of Public Works provides a wide range of architectural services and has an important role in the conservation and protection of our architectural heritage. The OPW provides a multi-disciplinary service and delivers a wide range of projects, including major restoration and refurbishment projects for historic properties and cultural institutions, office accommodation for Government Departments and other agencies, Garda stations, prisons, social welfare offices etc.
