The annual Simon Open Door event takes place over Saturday and Sunday, 11-12 May, in architects’ offices nationwide. Members of the public can book a consultation with an RIAI Registered Architect by logging on to simonopendoor.ie. The donation of €50 will go directly to the Simon Community of Ireland, as all architects are giving their time and expertise for free. This year’s campaign was launched by Dermot Bannon, an RIAI registered architect and RTÉ presenter, and the message is: ‘Architects Add Value – Engaging an architect in your project will save you time and money’.
